Day 6

Subject: Let's get the word out, [firstname]!

Hi [firstname],

You might have become highly knowledgeable about your chosen evergreen topic and have a blog that's packed with information, but if nobody can find it, your stats counter (and bank balance) will be as empty as Tombstone before the outlaws ride in!

In the long run, search engine optimization (SEO) will probably bring you the most traffic that's how those sites at the top of Google do it but it can take a long time to build. As you'll most likely want to get the traffic flowing quickly (and SEO is a bit of a dark art anyway) I thought I'd share some quick traffic tips with you today.

If you're looking to get free traffic and let's face it: Who isn't? - then being active on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat will get you noticed. You can then suggest followers visit your blog for more information. Likewise, posting on forum sites will also get you noticed and many forum sites will let you advertise in the sig at the bottom of your posts; however, this method isn't as effective as it used to be.

If you have some budget, you can get paid traffic instantly. This means advertising on Facebook, or taking out a Google AdWords ad. Some of these can be quite expensive, though.

Another method is to take out a solo ad in a niche mailing list and offer a freebie eBook or something similar as an inducement for people to visit your site. When they get there, capture their names and e-mail addresses so you can build your own list.

List building is a very important part of evergreen niche marketing. Unfortunately, I don't have time to go into the subject here, but I cover it in my evergreen niche marketing guide [link to sales page].

Finally, when you start creating your own products, issue a press release to get media exposure. Once you start to get quoted in newspapers, you REALLY are an authority in your niche!

Warmly,

[Your Name]
